Reduce the harm...contribute to T&M Carbon Farm! $15/Ton of Carbon Please partner with us in helping reduce the amount of greenhouse gases accumulating in our atmosphere. Together, we can affect real and lasting change! After all, this is a global problem, but it can be solved locally by taking positive action. Reduce and conserve what you can, but offset the rest by contributing to worthy and real solutions such as T&M Carbon Farm. You will be helping to sustain our effort in reducing global levels of CO2, supporting family farming, encouraging low impact agricultural methods, biofuels production, and wildlife habitat. |
T&M Carbon Farm is a family farm located in North Dakota. The operation revolves around the production of small grains and oil seed crops. We were born and raised in the local community and enjoy the wholesome lifestyle that a small rural atmosphere provides. We have four lovely children and enjoy watching them in all of their endeavors, whether it be 4-H, livestock judging/showing, school activities, college, or new jobs.
We have been recognized by the
Soil Conservation Service as worthy of an award
Managed wetlands, wind breaks and residual crop plant material left in the ground, provides forage for deer, moose, antelope, smaller assorted mammals, as well as cover and nesting opportunities for upland fowl (partridge, grouse, pheasant, etc.). During the winter months this plant cover traps additional snow, unlike fallow ground that tends to get swept clean due to the winds. Come spring, the extra moisture helps the new crop get a good start.

Did You Know? Estimates show that the world's soils store 10 times the amount of carbon that all the world's plant matter stores. Making soil one of if not the largest carbon sink on the planet. Studies have shown that using conservation tilling techniques such as no-till and planting winter cover crops can increase soil organic matter (SOM) and hence carbon sequestration, by as much as 500 to 1000 lbs of carbon per year...and that is in addition to the amount of carbon taken out by each new crop!
